Hi I'm Chris, welcome to my flat, which I've started to let it out to my friends and friends of friends only.
The flat is in a great location with panoramic views of the sea and 'the loveliest skies in all of Europe' (JMW Turner).
This is my home-from-home and unlike other holiday lets, and the reason I don't let it out more commercially, is that I have small amount of my own stuff there, more so than you might expect in a 'normal' AirBnB. However, its cheaper and I'm far more relaxed around things like check-in/out times and you're free to use what's at the flat e.g. some gym kit, a paddle board, a bike and kids beach stuff.
It's a spacious 2 bed, 2 bath apartment, with an open kitchen-living room that is the perfect place for a romantic weekend, family vacation or a fun getaway with friends, just a stones throw away from everything: The beach, the Old Town, Dreamland, the Turner Gallery, Walpole Bay Lido and Sauna along with many great pubs, restaurants, cafes & shops.
I've been visiting Margate for nearly a decade and have built up a list of all of my favourite places and things to do. See my MarGreats page! Also happy to give you some advice if you're looking for something specific that isn't covered there. NB there are few primo restaurants which are mega popular so if you are coming book early for Sagasso, Botega, Dory's etc.
The price is generally between Β£80 and Β£100 p/n (+Β£45 cleaning fee) depending on the season, length of stay and time of the week. Happy to have a conversation about rates when you enquire.
The apartment is on the top/third floor and there isn't a lift. So if you're not capable of 3 flights of stairs it isn't for you and you should have a word with yourself. But the view is worth it and there's no worries about people stomping about above you.
The main space:
The apartment has a large open kitchen, living area with large bay windows looking directly onto the sea, which you can enjoy from the comfort of the sofas or window seats. The kitchen is relatively small but has all the cooking and dining essentials you could need.
The bedrooms:
The main bedroom has a super king size bed (6' 6" wide!) and ensuite shower room.
The second bedroom has a large double bed and beautiful views out to sea. There are drawers and hanging facilities available in both.
The bathrooms:
The ensuite is in the main bedroom and has a shower, sink, toilet and storage in it. The main bathroom is off the lounge and has a large bath, shower, sink and toilet.
